Design a powerful back-end system to manage stock and orders with ease, combined with a new modern design with easy to use navigation and a straight forward checkout process.
What We Did
The back-end system we built is very in depth and allows for excellent stock control. Every variety of product can be controlled by stock to ensure that potential customers only see the products that are available.
Payments are taken care of by the popular payment processor PayPal and all orders send out automatic emails to the store staff (as well as the customer) to ensure quick trouble free processing.
All orders can be monitored through the admin control panel where you can view detailed statistics and reports. The back-end system also provides a very easy way of adding new products to the website which will save the store staff many hours compared to the old website.
The design is much easier on the eye compared to the old website with an attractive sliding graphic that displays special offers.
The navigation was completely overhauled and products can now be found using the search in the top right hand of the website or by selecting the category of product along the top of the site. When hovering over the different categories, it pops up with a list of brands giving the customer an easy way to find exactly what they're after with just one click.
Featured products are listed on the home page, as well as the best sellers (which are automatically generated from sales).
Anyone who orders has the option of signing up and saving their details, shortening the checkout time on any subsequent orders, or they can checkout as a guest, which is ideal for people who may not wish to have their details stored.
Marketing & Optimisation
To increase awareness of the store via social networking, Facebook and Twitter widgets were installed and displayed on every page as part of the main template. We then set up the Facebook and Twitter pages, customising the design to make them look professional and in keeping with the website.
Custom graphics were created for the Facebook and Twitter pages to give a professional first impression.
Title and description tags were optimised throughout the website to increase the chances of being ranked highly in the search engines.
